WASHBURN COUNTY -- Dear friends and supporters of the Salvation Army.  We are once again approaching the Christmas Season which means that it is also Red Kettle bell ringing season.  The residents of this county have always been unbelievably supportive, you have always helped us meet our goal and every year even going a few dollars over the previous year.  

The monies donated in the Red Kettles is used to help residents of Washburn County who have fallen on hard times and need assistance with emergency lodging, rental assistance, assistance with utilities, medical and emergency transportation issues, etc.  86% of monies given stay in Washburn County.

We will again be ringing in Spooner, Shell Lake and Minong.  Spooner will be at Schmitz Economart and Shopko.  If you would like to help out by “Ringing the Bells”, in Spooner call 715-635-2319, in Shell Lake call 715-468-2405, in Minong call 715-520-0575.  We will be very happy to find a spot for you and a big “thank you” for all your support in the past.
