SHELL LAKE, WI — Washburn County is accepting applications for a full-time Public Health Supervisor/Health Officer in the Health and Human Services Department.
This position provides leadership, management, and supervision of public health programs and staff; offers daily direction to professional and non-professional staff; and develops, delivers, and coordinates public health services with clients and partner agencies. The role includes management, planning, organization, and evaluation of public health programs and services provided to the community. Work is performed in accordance with all applicable codes, statutes, rules, and regulations under the direction of the Health & Human Services Director.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Biological Sciences, or Nursing from an accredited program.
- Three years’ public health agency experience, including responsibility for a communicable disease prevention and control program (preferably in a supervisory or administrative role).
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Valid WI driver’s license required.
Compensation: Starting salary range is $35.09 – $42.33/hour, plus excellent benefits.
