WASHBURN COUNTY — Criminal charges that were filed in Washburn County Circuit Court against Harley Goetsch (30), formerly of Rice Lake, WI, have been dismissed.
The case charged Goetsch with sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13. Goetsch would have been 20 years old when the assaults allegedly occurred.
Goetsch is still facing separate criminal charges in Polk County Circuit Court from a routine traffic stop in the Village of Turtle Lake, WI, which led to multiple criminal charges after law enforcement observed signs of impairment from Goetsch and detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, prompting a search that uncovered suspected THC products and paraphernalia. Two children under the age of 3 were in the back seat.
Goetsch is scheduled to appear again in Polk County Circuit Court in July 2026.
