WASHBURN COUNTY — A Rice Lake, WI, man with multiple prior convictions for operating with restricted controlled substances in his system has been sentenced in Washburn County Circuit Court for charges from a 2022 Wisconsin State Patrol traffic stop that ultimately led to a 7th offense conviction for Christopher Karpowicz (45).
Charges were filed against Karpowicz after crime lab tests showed that he had methamphetamine in his blood at the time of the Washburn County traffic stop. He was sentenced during a July 27th court hearing.
