SHELL LAKE, WI - Washburn County is currently accepting applications for a full-time Forestry Technician in the Forestry Department.
Qualified candidates should have knowledge of methods and practices that are used with forestry equipment operation, maintenance, and repair; experience with fire control and suppression; knowledge of general GPS use and GIS software or principals. A high school diploma or GED is required. A degree in natural resources field is preferred but not required. Candidates must possess a valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver’s License or be able to procure one within 6 months of hire. Starting salary range is $19.24 – $21.39 /hr DOQ plus excellent benefits.
