WASHBURN COUNTY — Washburn County officials are seeking interested applicants to fulfill the remainder of the term of office for County Board Supervisory District 9, which expires in April 2028.
Supervisory District 9 includes the Town of Trego, Ward 2, and the Town of Spooner, Ward 2. A map showing the District 9 boundaries is attached below.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be at least 18 years old and reside within Supervisory District 9.
Interested parties are asked to submit a letter of interest to the Washburn County Clerk, P.O. Box 639, Shell Lake, WI 54871. Letters must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. on June 1, 2026, to be considered.
According to the announcement, the Executive Committee will review all submitted letters during its June 9, 2026 committee meeting. The County Board Chair will then appoint a candidate, subject to ratification by the full Washburn County Board during its June 16, 2026 meeting.
