Washburn County Sheriff's Office Welcomes Second New Full-Time Deputy

Washburn County Sheriff's Office Welcomes Second New Full-Time Deputy

We have another great Deputy joining our family at the Washburn County Sheriff's Office. Please welcome Erich to our county.

Erich Schenkenberg was hired as a full-time Deputy Sheriff on April 3rd. He, as well, is currently in our Field Training Officer program and will be up to speed shortly and ready to be deployed as a patrol deputy.

Erich hails from Dane County. He was hired at Dane County Sheriff's Office as a jailer, several years in the jail and then moved to patrol, he was then promoted to Jail Sgt. Erich worked for Dane County Sheriff for appro. 14 years. Erich and family are in the process of moving to Shell Lake.

With the addition of Deputy Knoop and Deputy Schenkenberg we will soon be able to reinstate Deputy Nick Reidell as the Juvenile Officer and Deputy Will Fisher into the Conservation Officer position. The timeline for this move is dependent on the completion of the FTO program for Erich and Drew.

We are extremely pleased and thank the county board for these two new deputy sheriff's positions so we could reinstate both of these much-needed programs in our county.
