Angeline Winton Sworn In as New Washburn County D.A.

Angeline Winton was sworn in as Washburn County's District Attorney today, December 30, 2016 at the Washburn County Courthouse.

When reached for comment, Ms. Winton stated the following to DrydenWire.com, “I assume my duties as District Attorney being extremely honored by the trust Washburn County residents have placed in me and so very grateful for all the support I have received from so many.

"While I am eager to take office and begin working for Washburn County, I also believe I can speak for all Washburn County residents when I express my heartfelt gratitude for all of the hard work and dedication of those who have previously served as District Attorney.”

Ms. Winton ran unopposed in the fall 2016 elections for Office of District Attorney for Washburn County.

Thomas Frost is retiring from the office of Washburn County District Attorney to which he was appointed in August of 2013.

Angeline Winton Elected as District Attorney for Washburn County

Angeline Winton, of Springbrook, WI, has been elected as the new Washburn County District Attorney.

Ms. Winton ran unopposed in the Fall elections of 2016 for the office of Washburn County District Attorney. Ms. Winton has filled the position of the Assistant District Attorney for both Washburn County and Burnett County for several years while also maintaining her own private law practice.

When reached for a comment, Ms. Winton stated the following to DrydenWire.com, “I'm incredibly honored to be elected as Washburn County District Attorney. I look forward to assuming that role in January and am eager to take on the responsibilities of that office. I intend to give my full attention to advocating for justice in our community.”

Ms. Winton will officially take office at the start of 2017.
