Webster Woman Gets 3 Years In Prison For 8th OWI

Lynann Gruel, of Webster, WI, was sentenced in Washburn County Circuit Court on October 24th, 2016 for Operating While Under the Influence of an Intoxicant, 8th Offense, a Class G Felony.

The Court sentenced Ms. Gruel to 3 years of confinement in Wisconsin State Prison, which is the Wisconsin mandatory minimum sentence for an 8th Offense OWI (according to the OWI Penalty Chart on wisconsindot.gov). After her release from prison, she will have 3 years of extended supervision by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Probation and Parole. The Court gave Ms. Gruel credit for 60 days already served in confinement.

According to public record, after Ms. Gruel plead guilty on August 26th, 2016 her bail was revoked; resulting in her confinement in the Washburn County Jail from that time until her transportation to prison.
