Wild Rivers Habitat For Humanity Granted COVID-19 Rental Assistance Funds

Wild Rivers Habitat for Humanity was recently awarded a grant from the St. Croix Valley Foundation. The organization intends to use these funds to provide mortgage and rental assistance to residents in their service area.

The funds for this one time emergency rental assistance program are limited to residents of Burnett, Polk, Rusk or Washburn counties. Eligible applicants will need to have been directly affected by COVID-19 through a reduction in work hours or loss of employment.

Applications are currently being accepted. All application checklist documents will be required for an application process to begin. Assistance is capped at $1,000 per application and will be paid directly to the mortgage lender/bank or landlord.

The St. Croix Falls and Spooner ReStores sell new and gently-used home improvement goods, furniture, home accessories, building materials and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price.
