COLUMBUS, Wis. – Today, common-sense conservative Will Martin officially announced his campaign for Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin at Columbus Chemical Industries, a chemical plant in Dodge County. Martin, a proven leader with extensive experience in state government and as a small business owner, is committed to tackling the quiet crisis facing Wisconsin and restoring the promise of the American Dream for all its citizens.
"Too many of our young people, and our young at heart, are leaving Wisconsin. Jobs are being lost. And for many, homeownership has become a distant, if not impossible dream." said Martin, “As Lt. Governor, I’ll work to cut the size and cost of state government, and restore the promise of the American Dream. Together, let’s ignite a new era of freedom, opportunity, and prosperity, from Kenosha to Cornucopia.”
Martin's platform focuses on shrinking and streamlining state government, cutting its cost and regulatory burden, and partnering with the private sector and communities to create more opportunities. Having served under Governors Thompson and Walker, Martin led initiatives that successfully grew jobs, expanded training programs, and made housing more affordable. His 25 years as a small business owner have also given him firsthand insight into how government red tape stifles innovation and opportunity.
Will Martin has a distinguished career fighting for conservative principles, including spearheading constitutional amendments to enhance election integrity, leading welfare-to-work initiatives that helped parents gain jobs while saving taxpayers millions of dollars, and finalizing the selection of 120 federally designated Economic Opportunity Zones during President Trump’s first term. He has also advised international governments on implementing Wisconsin reforms and launched a weekly talk show to bring conservative voices to Milwaukee's African-American community.
