BURNETT COUNTY (DrydenWire) - A reckless joyride that drew complaints across county lines ended in a high-risk police stop and drug-related arrests in the Village of Siren, Wisconsin.
What began with reports to police of a Buick LeSabre’s occupants hanging out windows and shouting at pedestrians escalated into a police pursuit in the village, a tense traffic stop with officers’ firearms drawn, and the discovery of cocaine and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
Felony charges are proceeding in Burnett County Circuit Court against the driver, Blake Hanson, age 21, of Grantsburg, WI.
