POLK COUNTY — A Wisconsin contractor is facing a felony theft charge after allegedly accepting more than $20,000 in payments and bartered goods from a Polk County homeowner for foundation work that was never completed, according to court documents.
Cole Braml (28) of Braml Construction was charged in Polk County Circuit Court in May 2026 with Class G Felony Theft by Contractor, involving an amount between $10,000 and $100,000. The case alleges Braml accepted payments totaling $23,536, including cash, checks, and a Polaris Ranger and trailer, but failed to complete the contracted foundation work or fully repay the homeowner.
Braml is also facing separate misdemeanor and OWI-related charges in St. Croix County stemming from a February 2026 incident.
