RUSK COUNTY — A Milwaukee, WI, area contractor is facing felony charges in Rusk County Circuit Court after a northern Wisconsin school district paid more than $24,000 for a sound system that was never delivered or installed.
The School District of Flambeau entered into an agreement with Sven Pro Sound, LLC in 2022 for a new audio system, ultimately approving a project totaling just over $30,000. After paying an 80% deposit as required under the contract, months of delays, missed deadlines, and unanswered communications followed before contact with the company ceased altogether, according to a criminal complaint filed against the company’s president, Isaac Svien, 38.
Svien is charged with felony theft by a contractor and scheduled to appear for a court hearing in May 2026.
