The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will open a temporary DMV service center for those in the Barron County area affected by recent storms.
“Having proof of identity like a driver license or ID card is often the first step to rebuilding lives after such a tragedy,” said Administrator Kristina Boardman. “With the generous assistance of Mosaic Telecom, DMV is pleased to quickly step in and help our customers during this time of need.”
The temporary DMV Service Center will be located at Mosaic Telecom Offices, 401 S 1st St, Cameron, WI 54822. The hours are:
- Friday, 5/26: DMV open for service at Mosaic 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Saturday, 5/27: DMV open for service at Mosaic 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Friday, 6/2: DMV open for service at Mosaic 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
While replacing a driver license, ID and vehicle title can be completed online with a receipt available for immediate printing, this temporary DMV Service Center will provide these services free of charge for persons impacted by this recent emergency. Change of address, checking license or plate status and more can also be done online without a visit to a DMV.
