Wisconsin Entrepreneur Eric Hovde Launches Bid For U.S. Senate

MADISON - Wisconsin entrepreneur Eric Hovde today announced his campaign to represent Wisconsin in the United States Senate and released his first ad outlining why he's running.

"Our country is facing enormous challenges: our economy, our health care, crime and open borders. Everything is going in the wrong direction. All Washington does is divide us and talk about who's to blame. And nothing gets done," Hovde says in the ad.

"We need to come together to find common sense solutions to restore America."

Hovde, a serial entrepreneur who started his first business in his 20s, is the CEO of Hovde Properties, a Madison-based real estate development firm. He and his wife Sharon have two adult daughters and three grandchildren.

Democrat Senator Tammy Baldwin has been in the United States Congress for 25 years and has been running for elected office since 1986. She has a record of voting with President Joe Biden more than 95 percent of the time.

In addition to the campaign announcement and ad, Hovde will criss-cross Wisconsin in the coming days for a kickoff tour to meet with voters and share his message of restoring the American Dream.
