POLK COUNTY (DrydenWire) - A former Amery School District employee charged with sending explicit images to a student avoided a felony conviction this week after entering negotiated pleas in Polk County Circuit Court.
Sarah Monson, 37, appeared in court on December 19, 2025, where a judge accepted her pleas to amended charges in the case and approved a deferred agreement on her felony charge of Felony Exposing a Child to Harmful Materials.
The Amery School District told DrydenWire that Monson was hired on August 22, 2023, placed on administrative leave on February 6, 2024, and her employment was terminated on February 19, 2024.
