SAWYER COUNTY (DrydenWire) - A Sawyer County criminal case has been filed after jail staff discovered suspected fentanyl inside the county jail, a finding that prosecutors say can be traced back to an alleged local drug supplier.
The discovery prompted a wider law enforcement investigation and the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Hayward, WI.
Several felony and misdemeanor charges are now pending in Sawyer County Circuit Court against Cortney McShane, age 43.
