POLK COUNTY — A late-night fire that tore through a rental home on West White Ash Drive in Balsam Lake has led to a 20-year prison sentence for 28-year-old Ashley Monn, following a months-long investigation that traced tire tracks, security footage, and a series of phone calls back to the scene.
Ashley was charged with Felony Arson of a Building Without the Owner’s Consent after authorities alleged she entered the basement of a coworker’s home on December 13, 2024, shortly before the residence was engulfed in flames.
At a hearing on February 20, 2026, Ashley was sentenced by the Hon. Judge Jeffery Anderson, bringing the case to a close.
