SAWYER COUNTY -- A 27-year-old woman has been arrested in Sawyer County following a report of a stabbing incident in Bass Lake, according to a press release from the Sawyer County Sheriff's Office.
(Press Release) -- On 12/26/18 at about 01:40 a.m., the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a call of an adult male who had been stabbed inside a residence located on Poppletown Lane in the Town of Bass Lake. Sawyer County Deputies, assisted by Sawyer County Ambulance personnel responded to the scene.
After arriving at the scene, Deputies arrested an adult female suspect for felony First Degree Reckless Injury. The female suspect has been identified as Jasmine Carrillo, age 27, a resident of the Town of Bass Lake.
You are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The 27 year old male victim was transported to the Hayward Area Memorial Hospital by Sawyer County Ambulance, after sustaining several stab wounds; a stab wound to the right side of his head just above the ear, a stab wound to his right shoulder, a stab wound to his back, a stab wound to his chest and to his calf.
The victim’s current medical condition is unknown.
The name of the victim is not being released.
This incident was forwarded to the Sawyer County District Attorney’s Office for criminal charging purposes.
