POLK COUNTY — A routine early-morning traffic stop on January 25, 2026, in St. Croix Falls, WI, has led to a felony drug conviction for one woman in Polk County Circuit Court.

Angela Firkus, 47, of St. Cloud, MN, and her associate, Nicholas Heim, 46, of Sauk Rapids, MN, were arrested and later charged after officers uncovered significant quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine in both a vehicle and a nearby hotel room.

The case against Heim is proceeding. Firkus appeared for a court hearing on May 20, 2026, and was sentenced on a reduced charge.
