Agnes Olson, born on February 12, 1930, in New Richmond, Wisconsin, gently departed from this world on August 29, 2026, following a brief hospital stay. Her long, fulfilling life was marked by love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to family, community, and faith.

Agnes was the cherished daughter of John and Anna Ball and was raised on a farm near Boardman alongside her now-deceased siblings Mary, Joanna, John, Elaine (Peewee), Helen, and Patrick. The close-knit family were proud full-blood Irishmen and celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with great revelry. She graduated from New Richmond High School and attended beauty school, becoming a skilled beautician in her hometown where she lived with her sister Peewee and Peewee’s husband, Jerry Miller. Her talent and dedication were evident as she continued to offer haircuts and perms for many years after she married and moved to the Farmington farm.

In 1950, Agnes married the love of her life, John Olson. Together, they nurtured a loving home on their dairy farm near East Farmington, Wisconsin, where they raised three sons. Their partnership was an inspiring testament to love and devotion, lasting until John’s untimely passing after more than four decades of marriage. She also suffered the loss of her eldest son, Michael, and his wife, Peg, who passed just 2 years apart.

A devoted mother, Agnes, is survived by her sons, Daniel (Patty) and Robert (Cheri). Her legacy of love extends through her grandchildren, Barbie (Anthony Hegge), Angie (John Kitzrow), David (Lindsey), Michael Jr., Amy (Mark Needham), Justin (Rachel), Caitlin, Johnathan, Hannah (Matt Holderness), and Andrew, as well as her 18 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. Agnes also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who fondly remember her generosity and kindness.

Agnes was a pillar of strength and compassion in her community, actively participating in the Assumption Catholic Parish in East Farmington. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aroma of her famous pies, cookies, and bars, which she generously shared with her family and neighbors. Known for her boundless love and willingness to help anyone in need, Agnes' spirit of giving was matched only by the love she received in return. She would give the shirt off her back if anyone needed help and was comforted knowing that her extended 'family' would gladly return the favor.

Following her husband's death, she lived independently in the big farmhouse for more than 30 years, looked after by family and neighbors alike who saw that she was well-stocked with fresh produce, meats, fish and home canned items. Her days were brightened by many visitors and the simple pleasure of enjoying ice cream while watching football, especially her beloved Green Bay Packers. If the Packers weren't televised, she would begrudgingly watch the Vikings and cheer the opposing team....

A Celebration of Agnes' remarkable life will be held Friday, September 11, 2026, at Assumption Catholic Church, located at 265 WI-35, Osceola, WI, 54020. Mass of Christian Burial to start at 11:00 AM with a two hour visitation prior. Burial will take place immediately following the Mass at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The family invites those who knew and loved Agnes to join them in honoring her memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one's choice, reflecting Agnes' spirit of generosity and care for others.

Agnes Olson will be remembered for her warm heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her, and she will be dearly missed.
