In Memory of Agnes Feidt


August 9, 1927 - January 23, 2021

Agnes E. Feidt, 93, of Cumberland passed away peacefully on January 23, 2021.

She was born on August 9, 1927 to Charles and Veronica (Weber) Stauner on the family farm in Almena.

She attended Sacred Heart School in Almena. After leaving the area, she worked at a small perfume factory in Evanston, IL. The death of her brother, Raymond, brought her back home to help her mother. On February 7, 1948 she married Edward Feidt. They farmed together until 1987 when they moved into town.

Agnes enjoyed working in her garden and flower beds, reading, art, drawing, and painting greeting cards. She loved music, played the piano, and in her 70s learned how to play the violin. She volunteered for many years at the Cumberland Senior Center. She was a devoted member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a member of St. Andrea Circle, Servites of Mary and Rosary makers.

Agnes is survived by two sons: Edward John Feidt of Lewis, WI. and Joe (Rhonda) Feidt of St Paul, MN; five daughters: Rachel (George) Raab of Morristown, MN, Dorothy Greiner of Rice Lake, WI, Mary Ann Magnuson of Shell Lake, WI, Donna (Jeff) Strickland and Mitzie Feidt (Jason Paulson) both of Cumberland, WI; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren; sisters: Dorothy Rischette, Bonnie Bartylla, and Charlotte Anderson, all of Barron, WI, Veronica St Louis of Cameron, WI; brother: Gerhart (Mary Alice) Stauner of Minnetonka, MN; and sister-in law: Barbara Stauner of Rice Lake, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Veronica; husband: Edward; grandaughter: Melissa Feidt; great-granddaughter: Layla Strickland; four brothers: Leo, Raymond, Francis and Paul; three sisters: Mary, Irene and Odelia; and sons-in-law: Steve Magnuson and Russell Morneau.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the Skinner Funeral Home, 1245 1st Ave, Cumberland, WI from 5-7 PM Thursday January 28, 2021. The family will appreciate the wear of masks during visitation. A private funeral service for the family will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Tom Thompson officiating.
