Alan Arthur Rettenmund, age 78, of Rice Lake, WI, died Monday, June 9, 2025 at his home. He was born on March 9, 1947 in Rice Lake to Arthur and Laura (Delmonico) Rettenmund.

Al graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1965 and then attended WITC in Rice Lake. He was married to Marge Lemke in 1967 and they had 2 sons, Brian and Jeff. They later divorced but were always friends until his death. Alan did carpentry work around Rice Lake for many years and then went to work at Tagalong as maintenance for the golf course and the condos until his retirement but helped out after he retired. Alan played golf and had a passion for NASCAR, drag racing and watching golf and the Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Michelle Rettenmund; 2 grandsons, Ty and Ryder; his ex wife and friend, Marge Rettenmund; several cousins and many friends; his cribbage partner, Jim and the crew at Tagalong, Steve, Dave and Teddy, and many more. He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Laura Rettenmund; and a son, Brian Rettenmund.

A celebration of his life will be held from 4-7PM Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI.
