Ann Froehlich, age 83, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Ann grew up in the Linden Hill neighborhood of Minneapolis. She graduated from high school in 1961 and attended college for a year in the Twin Cities area. Ann later moved and lived in Cedar, MN for several decades, and planted many trees on her land while there. She was a great crafter and seamstress, and made beautiful clothes, and many lovely items. She was a devout Catholic and supported her parish faithfully, giving time, talent and treasure, but most of all her heart.

Ann loved classical music and had season tickets to the Minnesota symphony for 17 years. She loved animals and had a succession of beloved cats and dogs over her lifetime. She regularly fed the birds, squirrels, turkeys and any other animals who wandered by, even the unexpected guests, such as a bear she found on the porch, who was pouring bird seeds into his mouth from the feeder. She loved the north woods, nature and her privacy greatly. She never wanted to move back near a large city, and God granted her wish.

She had many friends, including some from high school that she’d kept in contact with all through the years. She made friends everywhere she went, including many up here in Frederic. She worked for many years in the Postal service, retiring from there at age 62. She was previously married, but divorced and later found and married the love of her life, Timothy Froehlich on January 11, 2003. Timothy passed away on March 2nd, 2011.

Ann is survived by her daughter Suzette, son-in-law Joseph, and grand-daughter Jessica. She is also survived by Wendy Ehnert, nephew Chris White (Cathy), and their sons Mitchell and Spencer, nephew Trey Sembla, and by her niece Jadzia Sembla (Bridget), and their daughters Ariadne and Violet.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Rowe Funeral Home (101 Cedar St W, Frederic, WI 54837), followed by a Time of Sharing at 6:00 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 1, 2026, at St. Dominic Catholic Church (103 W Birch St, Frederic, WI 54837), with Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
