Anthony "Tony" Richard Hays, age 41 passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI, with his daughter by his side, after recent health complications. He was born May 24, 1984 in Eau Claire, WI to Richard and Donna (Baron) Hays.

Tony grew up in the Rice Lake area, where he went to school and, eventually, took courses at WITC. He spent many of his years working at Birchwood Manufacturing in Rice Lake, more recently known as Besse Forest until their closing.

When not at work, he enjoyed his time on the water, either on the jet-ski, or fishing with his kids after school. His kids also remember him as a great cook - which he loved to do for them on occasion.

In addition, Tony was a skilled mechanic, which was another hobby of his. He could often be found working on cars at night - especially Nevaeh's!

Last, he leaves a legacy of two great kids that work hard and have goals they aspire to achieve.

He is survived by son, Tristen Hays; daughter, Nevaeh (Noah Hile) Hays; his children's mother, Nikki Hays; “sister”, Stephanie Haynes; and his uncle, Steve (Kimber) Hays.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Donna Hays.

Private services are to be held.
