In Memory of Arlene J. Davis


April 28, 1932 - September 11, 2022

Arlene June Davis, 90, of Rice Lake died, September 11, 2022, at Lakeview Medical Center.

She was born April 28, 1932, in Rice Lake, WI to Herman and Amelia (Holmstrom) Miller.

Arlene grew up west of Rice Lake. She attended Arrandale and Lone Elm School, and then graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1949.

She was married in St. Paul, MN on July 19, 1952, to Gary S. Davis who preceded her in death on October 21, 2007. They were married for 55 years.

Arlene worked at Molin Brothers Trucking as a secretary and Oliver Chevrolet as same. She began working at Lakeside Hospital in RIce Lake as a receptionist and medical transcriptionist. After leaving Lakeside Hospital, she worked many years for Sam Parker of Parker Hide and Fur. Eventually she returned to the medical field as a Medical Transcriptionist at the Barron Hospital; it was at this time that she received her degree as an Accredited Record Transcriptionist. Arlene also worked for the Cook County Hospital doing transcriptions via internet.

She is survived by her son, Randy Davis; sister, Janice (Mike) Zinsmaster; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; daughters-in-law: Sharon Davis, and Debbie Davis; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary S. Davis; sons: Ken, Gary, Greg, Mike, Tim, and Richard Davis; grandson, Nathanial Davis; and brother, Albert Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Rice Lake Assembly of God with Rev. Alan Klasi officiating. Burial will be in Nora Cemetery. Pallbearers are Trapper Davis, Mike Miller, Dale Ellingsworth, Terry Miller, Tyler Waitz, Chad Waitz, Logan Saldana, and Steve Saldana. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM.

Skinner Funeral Home of Rice Lake is serving the family.
