Audrey E. Baker, age 89 of Spooner, WI passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Maple Ridge Care Center in Spooner.

Audrey Elizabeth was born December 3, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Charles and Sally (Erickson) Carlson. She attended school in Winter, WI from Grades K-12. Audrey lived most of her life in the Winter area, but loved to travel with her husband Hank. She was a house wife and also worked at a resort doing the housekeeping after her children were grown up. This also when she started her travels with Hank. In 1976 they returned to Couderay and built their home. Audrey will be remembered for her love of 4th of July celebrations, making dried flower arrangements, doing craft projects, playing the piano, playing cards and games, making personalized greeting cards, reading and writing poems.   She was also a former member of the “Good Cheer Club” in Winter, WI

Audrey is survived by her children Sally Didier of Spooner, WI, Charles (Susan) Baker of Couderay, WI, and Patrick (Kathy) Baker of Waupaca, WI; 21 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Henry W. Baker; son Jacob Baker; daughter Anna Bowen; 2 grandsons Andy and Kenny; 2 sisters; 3 brothers; and nephew Steve.

A memorial service will be Friday, November 18, at the Spooner Funeral Home, 306 Rusk Street, Spooner, WI at 11:00. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Pastor Jack Starr will be officiating.
