Audrey M. Pearson, age 82, of Hayward, WI passed away peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Essentia-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Audrey Marie was born March 13, 1943, in Park Falls, WI the daughter of Arthur and Minnie (Miller) Alm. She was raised in Park Falls and graduated from high school there. On December 8, 1962, Audrey was joined in marriage to Nels Pearson at Zion Lutheran Church in Winter, WI. Audrey and Nels lived in Clam Lake, WI a few years before moving to Hayward.

Audrey worked as a waitress at the Chippewa Inn for over 40 years. She enjoyed being with people and had lifelong friends. Her favorite pastimes were bowling, walking, playing cards, and reading. Her faith in Jesus was her strength.

Audrey attended Zion Lutheran Church in Winter, First Lutheran Church in Hayward, Hayward Wesleyan and the Spider Lake Church. She was a member of bowling leagues, the Red Hat Society, and was a volunteer for the Hayward Library. Her roots were deep in the Northwoods, where she built her life, raised her children, and held close to her family and friends.

Audrey is survived by her four children, David (Sunny) Pearson of Glen Allen, VA, Steven (Mary) Pearson of Madison, WI, Daniel Pearson of Superior, WI, Patti Pearson of Hayward; she was a proud grandmother of Daniel James (Charlene), Josh, Jared, Cody, Mandy, Dylan and Dave; one great grandchild, Michael; one sister, Arlene Alm; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nels; sister, Marilyn; and two brothers, Wendall and Jerry.

A funeral service will be held for Audrey at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Hayward Wesleyan Church with Pastor Al Kiwazek officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1, at the Hayward Funeral Home and then from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Wesleyan church. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hayward.
