Barbara J. (Schultz) Hanson of Rice Lake, WI passed away at the age of 90 from natural causes on October 31st, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield WI.

Barbara was born on December 25th, 1934, in Barron WI. to Henry and Helga Schultz. She was united in marriage to Jack Hanson on July 1, 1950. Later moving to California where Jack was enlisted in the marines. They moved back to Rice Lake to live and start their family having 5 children.

Barbara did volunteer work for the Rice Lake hospital. She volunteered in the hospital gift shop and for the women`s auxiliary. She became the president elect of the auxiliary spending thousands of hours as a volunteer.

Barbara is survived by her children, Bradley Hanson of Rice Lake, Brenda Jacobson of Rice Lake, Susan Lowrie (Alvin) of Cheyenne Wyoming, Timothy Hanson (Lisa) of Elk River Mn. 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband in 2008, her son Mark Jack Hanson in 2013, her parents and brother Richard Schultz, and sister JoAnne Miller.

A private family burial will be at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Spooner, Wisconsin.
