Barbara Laverne Neumann Age 82, of Birchwood, WI, died peacefully Thursday, June 6, 2024 at her home.

She was born on October 20, 1941 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Helen (Witowski) Labedz.

Barbara graduated from Naperville Central High School in Naperville, IL, received her Bachelor's Degree from Illinois State Normal University in Normal, IL, and her Masters Degree from National Louis University in Chicago, IL. Barbara was married to Jerry Neumann on August 10, 1963 in Naperville, IL. She had a 35 teaching career in Fremont School District in Mundelein, IL. She loved gardening, leading water exercises, reading, knitting, crocheting and sewing. She was active in the Birchwood Senior Center, enjoyed her book club and was a Eucharist Minister at St. John’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Neumann; a daughter, Michelle Neumann; 4 grandchildren, Kyle (Jordan) Neumann, Tyler (Megan) Neumann, Mackenzie Neumann and Haley Neumann; 2 great grandchildren, Lake and Olivia Neumann.

She was preceded in death by a son, David Neumann, and her parents, Joseph and Helen Labedz.

A celebration of her life will be held from 1-3PM Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with a prayer service at 1PM with Father Ed Andersonn officiating.
