Beatrice H. Bishop, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and wife of Representative David T. Bishop, passed away peacefully at age 89 on December 6, 2020 in her Hayward, Wisconsin home, surrounded by her family. Her beautiful smile, and sparkling, intelligent eyes will be missed by all who knew her.

Beatrice Anne Habberstad was born June 9, 1931 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Anne MacPhail and Orval Habberstad. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1949 and Cornell University in 1953. Bea married David T. Bishop, of Syracuse, New York in 1954, and settled in Rochester, Minnesota where they raised their five children.

Bea's many descendants were her joy in life and now her legacy.  She is survived by her daughters Kathryn Bishop (Philip Bush), Marnie Elmer (Scott), Lucy Bishop (Curt Buller), and Laura Gallenberger (Michael); her son Thomas (fiancé Karen Corning and ex-wife Lynne Bishop); her grandchildren Matthew Bush (Hannah Sugarman), Jeffrey Bush, Alex Bishop (Josephine Tempongko), Brian Bishop (Heather), Drew Elmer (Aimee), Meredith Heppler (Ryan), Juli Hamilton (Christopher), Angela Elmer, Catherine "Callie" Buller, Peter Buller (Laura), Christopher Buller, David James Gallenberger, Mikayla Gallenberger, Wesley Gallenberger, and Thomas Gallenberger; her great grandchildren Caleb and Zachary Bush, William "Wally" Bishop and Daniel Bishop, Caitlin and Max Elmer, Cody and Alison Heppler, Elliana, June and Augustine Buller, and Elijah Buller; and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by two great grandchildren, Noelle Buller and Raphael Buller, her sister Elizabeth Schroder and her husband, David T. Bishop who passed away just a few months ago.
