In Memory of Bernard "Bernie" G. Meulners

April 21, 1948 - December 1, 2025

Bernard George Meulners, affectionately known as Bernie to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, at his home in Luck, Wisconsin. Born on April 21, 1948, in St. Paul, Minnesota, Bernie lived a full and vibrant life marked by his boundless curiosity, varied interests, and devotion to his family.

Bernie's journey began in the heart of the Midwest, where his early years were characterized by a love for learning and a natural inclination towards technology. After completing his education and becoming a skilled Computer Network Administrator, he embarked on a career that spanned several fields, truly embodying the spirit of a "Jack of all Trades." Whether he was working as an engineer, mechanic, electrician, or builder, Bernie approached each role with dedication and finesse. His work was not just a means to an end but a canvas for his creativity and ingenuity.

Beyond his professional life, Bernie was a man of many passions. A gifted guitar player, he found joy in music, strumming melodies that resonated with the loving, gentle nature of his soul. His adventurous spirit led him to embrace the great outdoors, where he could often be found camping, fishing, or boating. Bernie was also a seasoned traveler, pilot, and an enthusiast of computer games, always seeking new horizons and experiences.

Bernie's intelligence was matched only by his loving and gentle demeanor. He brought warmth and light into the lives of everyone he touched. As a husband to Yong Bergman, he was a steadfast partner; as a father to Angel Meulners and Derek Bergman, he was a guiding star; and as a grandfather to Alyssa, Ella, and Blake Vadner, he was a source of wisdom and fun. His role as a family man was one he cherished deeply, and his legacy as a loving patriarch will be felt for generations.

Bernie's zest for life and the depth of his knowledge were remarkable. To him, life was an endless opportunity to learn, to create, and to love. As we remember Bernie, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, marked by the many roles he played and the countless lives he enriched. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire us all.

We bid farewell to Bernard George Meulners, a man of many talents and an immeasurable heart. His journey on earth may have ended, but the memories and love he shared with us will endure forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Rowe Funeral Home (206 2nd Ave E., Luck, WI 54853).
