Betty Helen Olesen, age 78, of Osceola, Wisconsin, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, August 22, 2022 at her home in Osceola.

Betty was born on October 22, 1943 to Erick and Leona (Dobberschutz) Moltzer in Ellensburg, Washington.

She grew up in the Balsam Lake area, attending Unity High school, graduating class of 1961. On June 17, 1961, Betty was united in marriage to Royce Olesen in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin. This marriage was blessed with 4 daughters. Betty stayed home to take care of the girls until they went off to school and then started her career in customer service.

Betty enjoyed baking, cooking and shopping with her family. With Betty’s baking, many of her friends were happy to receive her Christmas cookies, pies and breads as gifts. Many nights were also spent sewing Barbie clothes for her girls’ Christmas presents. Betty also enjoyed traveling and visiting Casinos with the love of her life, Royce. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by many.

Betty is survived by her husband of 61 years, Royce; children, Chris (Tom) Bevens, Missy (Chuck) Thiel, Kim (Mike) Stoll and Kay (Scott) Hansen; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Erick Moltzer and Leona (Clarence) Carlson and sister Joyce.
