In Memory of Beulah Pfaff


November 9, 1935 - May 21, 2020

Beulah Ardis (Funk) Pfaff, “Bea” 84, of Chetek, Wisconsin and formerly of Rockton, Illinois, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Thursday, May 21, 2020.  She left peacefully, with her daughters at her bedside.

Bea was born November 9, 1935 in Rockton, Illinois the daughter of Andrew and Marjorie Funk.  She married Kenneth Pfaff on December 3, 1952.  Bea and Kenny raised three daughters, and started the “B” Hive restaurant in downtown Rockton.

Bea and Kenny moved to Chetek in 1972.  They built and operated Ken’s Kampsites for 30 years (now Northern Exposure Campground).  They made many good friends while running the campground.

Bea was a member of the Chetek United Methodist Church and former member of the Old Stone Church in Rockton.  She loved to read and had many hobbies including scrapbooking, sewing, quilting and flower gardening.  She was an amateur artist, and sold or gave away several of her paintings.

Bea loved her family dearly, as they loved her, and she will be greatly missed by them.  She leaves to celebrate her memory: daughters, Deb (John) Hoekman, Chetek, WI; Bonnie Pfaff, Chetek, WI; and Wendy Pfaff, Prairie Farm, WI, special friend, Jim Pfaff, Chetek, WI; grandchildren: Heather Norman, Chetek, WI; Melissa Ally, Chetek, WI; Jennifer (Nick) Kathrine, Prescott, WI; Tom (Jenny) Lieberherr, Pardeeville, WI; and Steven (Sean Burke) Lieberherr, Decorah, IA, 7 great  grandchildren, sisters, Beverly Ellis and Judi Porter and a brother Terry Funk all of California, and her sister, Sharon Scott, Janesville, WI;  many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends; and her cat Lucy.

Bea was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 61 years, Kenneth, grandson, Robert Norman II and her brothers, Donald, Gene and Jack Funk.

Bea will be laid to rest next to her husband Kenneth at Lake View Cemetery in Chetek. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic a private graveside service  will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date at the Chetek United Methodist Church.   Services will be posted when the date and time are available, please check back.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with arrangements.
