Blaine Jon Peterson, 60, of Turtle Lake, passed away at his home on January 24, 2025.

Blaine grew up near Bruce Wisconsin, before meeting his future wife Nancy Koenig and settling in the Turtle Lake area. Blaine worked in a variety of jobs since his high school days in Bruce, making many friends along the way. He enjoyed woodworking and wood burning, and spent his last few years creating numerous works of art, many of which he made as gifts for his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and bonfires with his family. He was known for his kindness, especially as a loving Papa.

Blaine is survived by his wife Nancy; stepsons Keith (Kelly) Kahl and Kevin (Kim) Kahl of Comstock, brothers Jay (Julie) Peterson of Ladysmith and Bryan Peterson of Bruce, grandchildren Grace, Trent, Elliot, and Emmit, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Barb (Plummer) Peterson, mother-in-law Palma Koenig, and brother-in-law Randy (Butch) Koenig.

Blaine’s family would like to thank everyone who supported him and his family during his battle with cancer, with special thanks to St. Croix Hospice.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 15th at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Almena, from 2pm to 5pm.
