Caroline Esther Amundson Age 93, of Cameron, WI, died Saturday, June 13, 2026 at her home. She was born on March 16, 1933 in Bruce, WI to Irvin and Margaret (Keasling) Ewald.

Caroline graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1950 and then attended Barron County Normal School. Caroline was married to Robert Amundson on October 1, 1951 in Rice Lake, WI. She worked for Barron County Developmental Disabilities Services in Barron, WI for 40 years.

Caroline was very involved in the community; she held different offices in the Conference and District for the United Methodist Women and different offices for the Chetek United Methodist Church; and was also a Cub Scout Den Mother. Caroline enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, quilts and traveling. She was the most kind and loving woman.

Caroline is survived by 3 children, Cathy (Pete) Severin, Tim Amundson and Jane Nelson; 5 grandchildren, Eric (Robin), Brian (Amber), Tina (Jeff), Melissa (Steve) and Doug (Laura); 2 grandchildren-in-law, Aspen Amundson and Deana Nelson Moore; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Amundson; a son, Roger Amundson; 2 grandsons, Matthew Nelson and Andrew Amundson; 3 sisters and brothers, Edith (Pat) Demers, Lucille (Roger) Larson and Mary (John) Orsund; and 2 brothers, Donald Ewald and John (Lana) Ewald.

Funeral Services will be held 11AM Friday, June 19, 2026 at the Chetek United Methodist Church, Rev. Chris Van Beek officiating, with interment in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Cameron, WI.

Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Thursday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI and for one hour prior to the Funeral Services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Chetek United Methodist Church.
