In Memory of Chad Gohde


June 27, 1979 - January 8, 2022

Chad J. Gohde, 42, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Saturday, January 8, 2022, in Chetek Wisconsin.

Chad was born June 27, 1979, to Ray and Dixie (Davis) Gohde in Rice Lake.

He graduated from Chetek High School in 1999. Chad married Amanda Thomas on December 31, 2009, at the Chetek Community Center. They just celebrated 12 loving years of marriage. Chad was a wonderful father to Taylor.

Chad loved spending time with friends and family. He enjoyed bonfires, playing cards, telling stories of field parties and great times of the past. Chad enjoyed leading the fun with his outspoken and bubbly personality. He shared his flair for telling jokes and the best stories. Chad took great pride in his love for cooking and entertaining. He enjoyed watching movies and had a great love for all types of music, especially heavy metal. Chad loved his Raiders Football and Bruin’s hockey. Chad was adored by his wife, daughter, friends, and family. He held such a special place in the hearts of so many, including a special bond with his Springer Spaniel, Grace.

Chad is survived by his wife, Amanda Gohde, and daughter Taylor Gohde of Chetek, his parents, Ray and Dixie (Davis) Gohde of Chetek, sister Bridget (the late Tim) Le Gore of Rice Lake, brother, Jason (Jolene) Gohde of Chetek, nieces Brina Rose Gohde and Lillie Jean Gohde of Chetek, nieces Shabre (Chris) Le Gore and Harper and Jaxson of Ridgeland, Alex (Kimberlee) Le Gore of Rice Lake, Shane (Matteo) Le Gore of Barron and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Chad’s services will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Burnham-Ours Funeral Home located at 206 Schofield Street, Chetek. Visitation will be held from 11 am – 1 pm with services to follow, starting at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek, Wisconsin. Chad’s pallbearers are: Shawn Redman of Cameron, Adam Skjerly of Cameron, Daniel Jackowski of Chippewa Falls, Steven Coon of New Auburn, Casey Rihn of Colfax, Brandon Elwood of River Falls, Isaiah Kidd of Sarona, and Jamie Gardner of Chetek.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
