Charlaine "Cheri” D. Van Gundy, 74, of Luck, Wisconsin, entered into eternal life on Thursday, June 20, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Charlaine was born on January 4, 1950, in Amery, Wisconsin, to Dale and Dorothy "Dottie" (Berry) Rusk. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard "Dick" Van Gundy on February 4, 1967, and welcomed two children into their lives. Cheri was always a hard worker and held numerous jobs throughout her life including being a waitress at the Dalles House, several different positions at Colonial Craft/Quanex and working as a tax preparer at H&R Block when she retired.

Cheri loved gardening, working in the yard, sewing, crafting and spending time with family and friends. Her love for her family and friends was immeasurable and her kind and generous nature will be missed by all that loved her.

She leaves to celebrate her memory, her daughter, Paula (Ronn) Voss; son, Rick (Cara) Van Gundy; mother, Dorothy Rusk Larsen; grandchildren, Harley, Tanis and Isabelle; great-grandchildren, Bryan, Arielle, Rylee and Olivia; sister Crystal (Jim) Kruse; brother, Tom (Kay) Rusk; sister, Shelley (Randy) Hansen, nieces, nephews, godchildren and many other relatives and friends. She now reunites with her late husband, Dick Van Gundy; her father, Dale Rusk; and step father, Howard Larsen.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 29th at Joy Lutheran Church in Centuria, Wisconsin, with visitation beginning at 10:00am. Cheri will be laid to rest alongside her husband Dick at the Milltown Cemetery following the funeral. Please return to the church and join the family for lunch and fellowship.
