Charles Arthur Slayton, 67, of Stone Lake passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at his residence.

Charles was born on November 8, 1950 to Leslie and Hazel (Metcalf) Slayton.  He graduated from Hayward High School and attended Milwaukee Tech School for carpentry.  He worked for Hubert and Charles Spelbring doing construction.  He was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Losey on September 25, 1971 in Spooner, Wisconsin. 

Charles is survived by: his beloved wife, Mary; his children, Kevin Slayton, Sandy (Dennis) Metzger, Norma (Dale) Rohlfing, and Susan (Tony) Meyer; grandchildren, Mary (Jonathan) Werntz, Rachael Larson, Charles E. Slayton, William F. Slayton, Dennis Metzger, Jr., Arthur Meyer, and Marie Meyer; great-grandchildren, Aidan and Aubrey Werntz, brothers and sisters Delores (Ron) Bulger, Eugene (Nancy) Slayton, Wayne Slayton, Marleen Hagler, Theresa Hatchcraft, and Malinda Geer; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

A memorial service for Charles will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at The Stone Lake Wesleyan Church.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Pastor Tim Young will be officiating.
