Cheri M. Johnson, age 30, of Eau Claire, WI and formerly of Hayward, WI, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at her home.

Cheri Marie was born March 24, 1992, in Shell Lake, WI the daughter of Daniel and Kim (Erickson) Thompson.

She was raised in Hayward, WI and Washburn, WI where she attended school and enjoyed soccer and gymnastics. She graduated from Hayward High School in 2010. Cheri started her family and was the proud mother of four children. She enjoyed drawing, crafting, fishing and camping. She loved her children and family dearly.

Cheri is survived by the father of her children, Chris Johnson; her four children, Malaki, Leiliana, Amiyah, and Dominic; father, Dan Thompson of Hayward, WI; mother, Kim (Gary) Nelson of Washburn, WI; one brother, Isaiah Thompson of Hayward; maternal grandparents, Roger and Phyllis Erickson; paternal grandmother, Elaine Thompson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Robert Thompson, whom she dearly loved.

A funeral service will be held for Cheri at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022, at Hayward Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Warner officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Windfall Cemetery in Exeland, WI.
