In Memory of Cheryl A. Siemsen
Cheryl Ann Siemsen passed away, peacefully, at home June 1, 2026. She was surrounded by loving family after her journey through cancer.
Cheryl was born on September 13, 1954 to Harrison (Bub) and Joan Maxon and later became a daughter to Wib and Merry Siemsen. She was the oldest of eight siblings. Their home was busy, loud, full of love and sports.
At the age of sixteen Cheryl met and started dating the love of her life, Dean Siemsen. They had an unbreakable bond and were married on March 2, 1974. Dean and Cheryl made their home in Amery, where Cheryl also worked for 30 years at Dental Arts. She was one of the smiling faces that greeted countless patients to the office.
Over the years Dean and Cheryl made a hobby of building and selling homes. They were able to accomplish great tasks together and made a good team. They enjoyed spending time with family, camping, riding motorcycle over the Rockies and through the Black Hills, and getting to Door County for a glass of wine any chance they could.
Through this union, Dean and Cheryl grew their family to include Gregg and Kelly. Their children were one of Cheryl’s greatest treasures. She once said, “The only thing I ever wanted to be was a mom”, and she was one of the best.
Cheryl’s quiet and steady demeanor did not demonstrate her fierce love and unwavering strength, but her family always felt these qualities deep within. Cheryl also adored her grandchildren and enjoyed being included in their lives at any opportunity. She will be missed beyond measure.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, of 52 years, Dean, children Gregg (Ali) Siemsen and Kelly (Cody) Fansler, grandchildren: Gabe, Eden, Eva, Payton and Harper, siblings: Doug (Shari) Maxon, Bruce (Karen) Maxon, Mick (Dawn) Maxon, Teri (Rod) Thompson, David (Wendy) Maxon, Jon (Rachel) Maxon, brothers and sister- in- laws: Paul Siemsen, Kathy Siemsen, Tom (Tammy) Siemsen, Lonnie (Ray) West, and Bonnie Knutson as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family members. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Bub and Joan, sister, Annette, and Father and Mother- in- law Wib and Merry.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, WI. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Amery, WI with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at the Amery Cemetery at a later date.
