In Memory of Christopher J. McIntyre

August 12, 1959 - May 11, 2022

Christopher J, (Chris) McIntyre, 62, of Eureka, WI, lost his long-fought battle with ongoing health issues on May 11, 2022.

Chris was born August 12, 1959 in Columbus OH to Jim and Nancy McIntyre. The family relocated to Grantsburg, WI in 1972 where Chris graduated from Grantsburg Senior High in 1977. While in school, Chris was active in sports, including baseball, football, and wrestling.

It was during this time that Chris began his career as a machinist, starting at Parker Hannifin. After graduation, he moved to St. Croix Falls and went to work with Brandtjen & Kluge for many years. He then took a job with Wilson Tool for several more. While working, Chris continued to expand his knowledge of the machining industry by attending classes at WITC for CAD & CNC operations. In 1980, Chris’ son Travis was born followed by Sean in 1982 both of which he was very proud.

Chris had many hobbies. He enjoyed playing league softball and his golf membership with his family as well as deer hunting. Over the years, he played in several pool, beanbag, and volleyball leagues. His greatest love, however, was karate. He excelled to the status of 3rd degree black belt and went on to become an instructor of his own classes, who would perform exhibitions at local events. Later in life he realized his dream of owning a motorcycle and he enjoyed many rides with his friends. Chris was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, taking on the role of treasurer.

Chris was preceded in death by his dad, Jim. He is survived by his sons, Travis, (Aimee) McIntyre, Sean, (Angie) McIntyre, grandchildren Isabella and Ruby. His mother, Nancy, brothers Mike, (Mary Jo), Tim, (Leta) McIntyre, sisters Beth, (Mark) Westrom and Sue, (Mike) Forester. Also, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held after mass at Kassel Tap Bar, 1953 US Hwy 8, St Croix Falls, WI.
