
In Memory of Courtney M. Lunsman
Courtney Mae Lunsman (Biidaabanookwe), age 26, of Danbury, WI, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, in Duluth, MN. She was born on July 14, 1999, in Spooner, WI, to David Lunsman and Angela Staples.
Courtney attended Webster High School. Following graduation, she worked in housekeeping at the casino, at O’Reilly Auto Parts, and enjoyed attending car shows and powwows. She had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing. Some of her greatest joys were celebrating birthdays with her nieces and nephews, spending time at family dinners and holidays, and caring for her beloved pup, Blaze.
Courtney was well known for her fiery attitude, quick sarcasm, and unforgettable sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her mother, Angela Staples; her brother, Charles (Jenna); her aunts and uncles, Jay (Brenda), Robert, Teresa (Rick B), and Annie Marie Lunsman-Redding (Robert); her nieces and nephew, Lucille (lucy), Eleanor (Ellie), and Corbin; many close cousins; and her best friend Alyssa Gandelhoff and her new found love Conar Freeman and many close dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, David Lunsman; her grandparents, Carole and Marlene Lunsman, and Richard and Mary Staples; her uncles, Kelly, Rodney, and David Staples; her aunt, Deborah Staples; and many other dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster, WI.
