It is with sad hearts that we share the passing of Curtis Edward Broberg on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

Curt was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. He was born on October 19, 1975 in Fridley, MN.

He grew up in Blaine, MN and lived in Albany, OR.

Curt was adventurous and loved nature so much he moved out West so that he could get to the ocean, mountains or desert in a quick road trip. He enjoyed camping in the mountains under the stars, floating down the river looking for rocks or heading to the ocean for the weekend. He also greatly enjoyed fishing and ice fishing.

He was a talented artist. It ranged from throwing pottery to carving unique rock and wine barrel spoons to sketching and drawing, as well as acrylic and water-color painting. He was consistently adding to his artistry skillset.

His talents didn’t stop there. His culinary skills were also spectacular and so was his palate. He had a garden that he tended to and was proud of. He grew grapes, artichokes, zucchini, rosemary, dill, and much more. He used most of it to can foods and make spices. His rosemary salt or jalapeno jelly were family favorites. He was also a foody and loved craft beer and funky drinks.

On top of all of those hobbies he loved rocks. He loved rock hunting whether it was in the river, at the ocean or in a rock shop. He acquired quite the collection including some impressive pieces.

Curt was also benevolent with his work. He gave away many pieces of pottery, drawings, carvings, rocks or whatever he was currently working on.

He will be missed in so many ways by his family and friends alike.

He is survived by his parents Dean and Penny (Gruber) Broberg (Hayward, WI), sister Rachael (Broberg) and Scott Morton (Blaine, MN), nephews Kendrick and Isaac and his niece Lauren, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Celebration of Life will be held at the Hayward Funeral Home, 15571W County Highway B, Hayward, WI, on Wednesday, August 3, 2022  10:00 a.m. visitation and 11:00 service.

Lunch following at Flat Creek Hotel and Restaurant, 10290 State Road 27S, Hayward, WI.

There will be a Celebration of Life in Oregon on August 27, 2022.
