In Memory of Cynthia L. "Cindy" Vincent

February 6, 1962 - March 18, 2026

Cynthia Louise "Cindy" Vincent, loving wife, mother, grandmother (Nana), Godmother, daughter, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026 in the presence of her husband and daughters.

She was born on February 6, 1962 to Stanley & Betty Peer, as the fourth of eight children, in St. Croix Falls, WI and spent her childhood years in Grantsburg. Having graduated from Grantsburg High School in 1980, Cindy’s love of learning inspired her to earn both a Bachelor’s degree in Health & PE Education and a Master of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Minnesota.

Cindy fell in love and married David Randolph “Randy” Vincent, Jr. on September 25, 1982 in Frederic, WI and moved to Maple Grove, MN where they were blessed with two daughters, Kara and Kelly.

Cindy’s MBA degree led her to a career in helping to improve the healthcare system, especially for the underserved, recently retiring in 2022 from her last job of 16 years as a CFO at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee. She also served on several Hospital and Foundation Boards and continued to serve after retirement. She loved dressing up for the Gala fundraisers with Randy at her side! She felt honored to be in a leadership position to mentor others and to assist in advancing their careers. Cindy’s kind spirit will be cherished and remembered by all who had the honor of knowing her.

Throughout her life, Cindy displayed a passion for sports and outdoor activities. Cindy excelled as an athlete in high school setting a school record in high jumping and also participated in volleyball, basketball, and track at UW-River Falls.

Cindy found joy in nature and as a member of the Rolling Hills Snowmobile & ATV Club, enjoyed riding ATV trails in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. She also spent time outdoors on snowshoes and cross country skis and loved taking their dog Lily for walks.

In addition to her love of the outdoors, Cindy was an avid reader and loved to relax and unwind with a good book. She also found so much joy in spending time with her family at their cabin in Trego. Cindy and Randy created lifelong memories by hosting an annual Fourth of July Camping Week and enjoyed camping in the Minnie Winnie at Lake Owen every summer with a special group of lifelong friends.

Nothing brought Cindy as much joy as spending time with her grandsons reading to them, playing games, doing puzzles, cooking, baking homemade bread and cinnamon rolls, enjoying pontoon rides, watching them fish, and taking them into the woods for a “bear” hunting adventure. She also enjoyed attending their hockey and baseball games. She didn’t get enough years, but she sure made the ones she did have with them count.

In the arms of her loved ones and with the comfort of her faith guiding her, Cindy leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and cherished memories. May she rest in eternal peace and her spirit continue to shine bright in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Cindy will be greatly missed by her husband of 43 years, Randy, and their two daughters, Kara (Bryan) Meagher and Kelly Vincent, and her precious grandsons Logan and Brooks. She is also survived by her mother, Betty Peer, and her siblings, Greg (Cindy) Peer, Jan (Ron) Wickboldt, David (Lisa) Peer, Jeff (Lorraine) Peer, Colleen (Rich) Morgan, Missy (Jason) Peterson, and Becky (Matt) Berg; Randy’s siblings, Richard (Melanie) Vincent, Robert (Kathy) Vincent, and Mary (Tony) Vincent and many loving nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Peer, and in-laws, David & Judith Vincent.

In lieu of flowers, it was Cindy's wish that any memorial tributes be made in a charitable donation to any of the following:
