Dane A. Giesel, age 70, of Barron, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 in Barron.

He was born December 30, 1954, the son of Leland and Mary (Litwiller) Giesel. Dane grew up in the Barron area.

On July 15, 2005, he married Sheri Wilke in Barron. Dane worked as a welder at different companies in the area.

He has always enjoyed riding and working on motorcycles. He also liked to fish and hunt.

He is survived by his wife, Sheri of Barron; son, Dustin Giesel of Michigan; daughters, Elizabeth Giesel of Gladstone, Michigan and Michelle (Sean) Hagey of Kansas City, Missouri; 6 granddaughters; brothers, Jeff (Deanna), Eric, Marlon (Connie) and Ken (Ronda); sisters, Marisa (Patrick) Wedel and Kristin (Steve) Mininger; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service for Dane will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 29 at the Barron Mennonite Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Barron Mennonite Cemetery.
