Daniel Joseph Novak, 78, of Chetek, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis.

Daniel was born on May 3, 1946, in Weyerhaeuser, WI the son of Edward and Lillian (Gulan) Novak.

Daniel leaves to celebrate his memory: his wife, Diane Novak, Chetek, WI; son, Michael Novak, Roseville, MN; daughter Mary (Lisa Nadeau) Novak, Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Amelia Novak-Nadeau and Eliza Novak-Nadeau, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lillian, sister, Virginia Jaskowiak, and her husband Jim, sister, Liz Mares, and her husband Stan and his brother, Edward Novak.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Chetek on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held an hour prior at the church. A luncheon will follow at Fire Away Roadhouse. He will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at a later time.
