Darlene L. Kringle, age 93, of Barron, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Monroe Manor.  

Darlene was born on October 19, 1932 at Clearbrook, Minnesota to Alfred and Agnes (Norburn) Carlson. She was raised and educated at Strandquist, Minnesota where she graduated from high school in 1951. She worked for a short time at a bank and then went to nurses training in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She worked at several hospitals as a nurse.

She married Reuben Kringle in 1978. She loved living in the country and being involved with their dairy herd and raising a big garden. She worked part-time at Barron Hospital. Reuben passed away in 2013.

She loved gardening, traveling, reading, crafts and painting as well as spending time with family and grandchildren.

Darlene is survived by step-sons, Eugene (Vicky) Kringle of Cameron and Wendell (Pauline) Kringle of Barron; daughter-in-law, Tammy Kringle of Chetek; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, Adele (Gary) Chaffin of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reuben; and a step-son, Vincent.

A funeral service for Darlene will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Foursquare Gospel Church in Barron. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Wayside Cemetery in Barron.
