In Memory of Darlene R. Marshall
Darlene Rachel Marshall, 72, of Barron passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2025 at her home. She was born March 15, 1953 in Rice Lake, WI to William and Evelyn (Kunesh) Stodola.
Darlene graduated from Rice Lake High School in the Class of 1971. Many might know her from the 30+ years she spent working at Jennie-O in Barron, previously known as Jerome Foods.
Darlene spent a great time playing puzzles - word searches and crosswords. She also loved to crochet, read, and enthusiastically cheer on the Chicago Cubs, as she was an avid fan. In earlier years Darlene enjoyed golf, gardening, and just being outdoors. Quite often did she call up her many family members and friends to chat on the phone. She loved to spend time with her grandkids and take them places. Her family will also affectionately remember her as an avid "napper", a trait she may have passed on to the boys.
She is survived by her husband, Clayton; children, Charles Knutson, Christopher (Tricia) Knutson, Cole (Melisa) Knutson; grandchildren, Hunter (Mady Lanners), Paige, Lance Knutson; great-grandchild, Ace Knutson; siblings, Janet (Richard) Nelson, Roger (Cathy) Stodola, Betty (David) Sorenson; brother-in-law, Rodney Homer; along with many nieces and nephews.
Darlene was preceded in death by parents, William and Evelyn Stodola; sister, Karen Homer; and nephew, Joseph Nelson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 21, 2025 at First United Methodist Church of Barron. Visitation will be one hour prior at church. Honorary Pallbearers are Charles Knutson, Christopher Knutson, and Cole Knutson.
Interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery, Cumberland.
